I’ve seen lot of search queries referring to factory rest of tecno phones, how to flash tecno phones, hard reset of tecno devices and formatting tecno phones. So, I decided to write down a detailed article explaining the whole process with different procedures from the scratch.
Generally, we get to misunderstand most of these terms. Most of you seem to displace flashing phones with resetting phones. These are two different terms and being executed in different ways. However, it all depends on the problem involved.
Whenever your tecno device face issues related to hard brick or any other related issue affecting the device operating system in general requires a flash. Flashing your device rom can also solve every other issue. However, I advise you save yourself the stress of flashing if it’s a minor software problem or virus issue. Most times, all we need is a factory rest to keep our device functioning, but if that is not the case, then flashing your device rom would resolve every problematic brick on your device.
Before you follow any of the below procedure, make sure you backup your tecno device. With a computer, you can easily backup your important files using MobileGo app. simply move DCIM folder and copy your files. Automatic backup process is also available via Settings >> Personal >> Backup and Reset, and then select both backup my data and automatic restore. Now go back to Settings >> Personal >> Account & Sync >> select your Google account, then check all boxes and ensured that available data is synchronized. Alternatively, make use of android backup apps.

Every other detail you need is explained in that guide. This would help bring back your tecno device to good shape. Please, make sure you follow the process explained step by step, and if you encountered any issue, do let me know via comment section referring to the guide.

Most times, not every device with a soft brick allows user to access this option. However, in some case, soft brick may occur from boot screen, when we get stocked in boot mode. This is where hard reset or format comes in. Check out the benefits of rooting your tecno device.
