LG Company is set to compete with top brand flagships when they release their premium all metal LG G5. The LG G5 will measures 7.5-8mm thick depending on where you look at it, but by far the biggest element to the design is down at the bottom of the handset. There's a small button that releases the bottom section of the phone, letting you slide it and the battery out.
The LG G5 will wow you with its power it will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and backed by 4GB of RAM. With the phone in a pre-production state (both hardware and software) it's impossible to judge how that performance will play out in the real world. From what we've seen so far, it's slick and fast.
There's 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. The latter is housed behind a rather large tray on the side of the device, but LG is onto something of a winner here, presenting that metal body, micro SD and a removable battery, which is about the sum of all smartphone owners' dreams. The battery is 2800mAh and thanks to that Qualcomm chipset, it supports Quick Charge 3.0. There's no wireless charging, but then you have a changeable battery.
There's no telling yet how long that battery will last, as we've not had the chance to yet put this phone through its paces. The LG G5 has a USB Type-C connection on the bottom. This means you have the convenience of any way up connection, as well as playing its part in supporting some of the G5's Friends, the impressive line-up of accessories that it launches with.
